Regardless of whether or not you’re currently suffering with a concussion, advocacy is key.
Being Headstrong can have myriad definitions. The most important part is taking that first step to be a better advocate for yourself or others and to not let PCS define you.
Being Headstrong can mean rocking your sunglasses inside because it’s too bright; it can be telling a friend or family member about PCS and helping them to understand what you’re going through; it can be correcting someone who is misinformed about brain injuries; it can be offering an alternate plan with friends (a dinner rather than going to the movies) that means you can be a part of it.
The Headstrong moments are endless and I want to know all of yours! Share them with the hashtag #iamheadstrong on Facebook or Instagram!
